
There's something to be had in the extreme weight of the sakura (cherry blossoms) in Japanese society, in the fact that they invest so very much of their cultural capital in something so fleeting, but for now I'll let the photos tell their own story. These were taken in Furubira on the weekend of May 15 when Heather came down for a visit.
Her timing couldn't have been better.
